Imagine you could read but not write – doesn’t make much sense, right?
By now most of us have lots of experience in interacting with technology (which is a great start) but we don’t really have a clue on how we can create and express ourselves with it. That’s the change we’re in for!
Just as in the traditional meaning of literacy, the purpose of reading and writing isn’t in the actual ability of doing so. Literacy is a medium to open up opportunities for education. Ergo, technology literacy serves the exact same purpose. So, just like we’re taught to write and calculate we should also be learning how to code.
